Russia and Japan agree to collaborate in hydrogen supply
Rusatom Overseas and Japan’s Agency for Natural Resources and Energy under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry signed an agreement to join efforts in conducting a feasibility study in 2020-2021 to export hydrogen from Russia to Japan.

Japan to invest $10 bln in global LNG infrastructure projects - minister
Japan and its private sector firms will invest $10 billion on liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects worldwide, the country’s industry minister said on Thursday, in a strategy to boost the global LNG market and reinforce the security of energy supply.

Japan's Tepco to decommission second, undamaged Fukushima nuclear plant: Kyodo
Tokyo Electric Power plans to scrap its Fukushima Daini nuclear station, located a few miles south of the bigger Fukushima Daiichi plant where three reactors melted down in 2011 after an earthquake and tsunami, Kyodo News reported on Wednesday.

Daily (01.03.2019): EU carbon prices topped €22 a tonne on Thursday, rising for the fifth consecutive day
Brent crude price reversed trend, turning bearish on Thursday, influenced by lower factory output reported by the two Asia’s biggest economies – China and Japan. The record level of U.S. crude stockpiles also weighed on prices. On top of that, the lack of a deal after the two-day summit between U.S. president Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un left the financial markets under pressure. Brent crude edged 0.5% down at $66.03 a barrel. Nevertheless, OPEC-led supply cuts and last week’s decline in crude U.S. crude imports to a two-decade low supported WTI crude price, which inched 0.5% up at $57.22 a barrel.
