Oil prices reversed earlier gains on Thursday amid surging COVID-19 infections in India, but a report a day earlier indicating a large drop in the U.S. crude stockpiles hold the fall in check. Hence, Brent crude settled 1.3% lower at $68.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, US WTI crude declined by 1.4% to close at $64.71 a barrel.
