Daily (11.04.2019): The EU carbon prices hit a new 11-year high on Wednesday on Brexit delay optimism

Crude oil prices increased on Wednesday, after EIA report showed that U.S. gasoline stocks plunged more than expected last week, offsetting the surging crude inventories. OPEC’s oil production at four-year low in March coupled with U.S. sanctions on Iran and Venezuela lent more support to prices. Brent crude price rose by 1.6% to $71.73 a barrel, while WTI futures traded 1% up at $64.61 a barrel.

Daily (31.01.2019): British spot gas price tumbled by 1.6% on Wednesday due to an oversupplied system

Oil prices were up on Wednesday after U.S. government data indicated a lower-than-expected rise in crude oil stockpiles. Moreover, U.S. exports sanctions against Venezuelan exports and a decline in gasoline inventories supported prices. Nevertheless, the trade dispute between the United States and China is still weighing on the market. Brent crude rose 0.5% higher to close at 61.65 USD/bbl, while WTI crude surged by 1.7% to settle at 54.23 USD/bbl.

Daily (07.09.2018): Carbon Contracts gained more than 5% on Thursday, due to limited allowance supply

Oil crude prices extended losses on Thursday, on worries about China’s demand amid growing trade disputes. Moreover, gasoline and distillate stocks at Cushing, Oklahoma delivery hub were at their highest level in four years, pressuring prices. Brent crude decreased by 1% to close at $76.50 a barrel, while WTI crude slumped by 1.4% to $67.77 a barrel.

Daily (19.07.2018): UK gas prices boosted by around 2% on Wednesday, due to strong demand and lower supplies

Oil prices surged on Wednesday, as U.S. government data pointed out stronger demand for gasoline and distillates. Brent crude climbed 1% higher to end at $72.90 a barrel. Meanwhile, WTI crude also hiked by 1% to $68.76 a barrel, even though U.S. oil production hit a new record of 11 million barrels per day.

Egypt Raises Fuel Prices By Up To 50%

Egypt is hiking gasoline prices by up to 50 percent, as it is seeking to meet reform requirements for funds extended by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), but the gradual removal of the fuel subsidies makes ordinary Egyptians angry with austerity measures.
