Oil dropped on Friday on a stronger dollar due to lasting concerns about a wider debt crisis in Europe, China's inflation and tensions in Korea. By 06:56 GMT, the contract dropped 35 cents to $83.51 a barrel. January ICE Brent fell 62 cents to $85.48 a barrel.
