Russia to build its firs biofuel plant in Siberia
State-owned Russian Technologies corporation plans to start building the country's first biofuel plant next year in Siberia. The company has signed all the agreements and will start building the plant from March-April, and the project will be finished by the end of the year.

Exploration assets sold by Petrom in Russia
The major oil and gas group in Romania, Petrom, owned mostly by Austrian OMV, sold 75% of exploration assets in Ring Oil to its minority partner Mineral and Bio Oil Fuels Limited in Russia, since it focuses mainly on the Romanian and Kazakh activities. The total value of the transaction was not disclosed.

A new tax for nuclear energy in Germany
German parliament proposed the introduction of a new tax on nuclear energy. The tax would constitute 220 euros/gramme of nuclear fuel, and it would rise as long as plants will continue operating.
