Exergy targets extra 200MW geothermal by 2017 in Turkey
The Turkish division of Italian producer in the geothermal sector, Exergy, targets to add 100 megawatts (MW) of geothermal power by the end of this year and with an extra 100 MW by 2017, declared Matteo Quaia, deputy general manager of Exergy Turkey.

Nordic Investment Bank grants funding for geothermal power plant in Iceland
Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) and electricity producer Landsvirkjun signed a USD 50 million long-term loan agreement without a guarantee of collection for the construction of the Theistareykir geothermal power plant in northeast Iceland.

European Investment Bank injects 125 million euros in Icelandic 90MW geothermal plant
European Investment Bank (EIB) has inked a EUR 125 million loan agreement with Landsvirkjun, the National Power Company of Iceland, to finance a new geothermal power station and its geothermal wells at Theistareykir, near Husavik in northeastern Iceland.
