Japan to boost renewable energy by 2020
The world’s worst nuclear crisis in 25 years pushed many global leaders to review its perception over nuclear energy by changing its energy “way” toward renewable energy. So, the Japanese government will ease the rules on developing geothermal, wind and hydraulic utilities, thus strengthening the public energy safety.

Geothermal capacity to reach 25.1 GW by 2020
Global geothermal power capacity could reach 25.1 GW by the end of 2020, with 30 percent produced only in the United States. According to the released report by Pike Research, over 10.7 GW are put into operation in 26 countries, with the United States on the top with 3.08 GW of installed capacity.

View on geothermal feed-in tariffs in Europe
Many countries around the world shifted to geothermal energy following nuclear disaster at the Fukushima nuclear reactors. Most of the activity focused on the development of renewable projects is taking place in Europe, while pioneer in geothermal industry is Italy with over 800 MW in operation installed worldwide, even if the country is not concentrated on strengthening its geothermal industry, even it has a good policy for it.
