Ukrainian diversification of natural gas supplies

Since 2011 Ukraine is trying to raise natural gas production levels in the Black Sea from 1 bcm in 2011 to 3 billion cubic meters in 2015.In 2012 the Black Sea production reached 1.2 bcm and is predicted to rise to 1.65 bcm in 2013.Its total gas reserves have been estimated at 5.4 trillion cubic meters.

UK: Shale gas reserves could quadruple

The IGas Energy Group, one of the UK’s hydrocarbon producers, has announced that its license in north west England could contain over 170 trillion cubic feet (Tcf) of the unconventional gas. According to IGas technical studies, the quantity of shale gas in some regions of the UK has been underestimated.
