BP launches a multibillion dollar lawsuit against Transocean and Cameron

The UK giant, BP filed a lawsuit against Transocean, asking for at least US$40 billion in damages and other costs from the owner of the Deepwater Horizon rig, moreover, the British company filed a lawsuit against Cameron International as well, saying a blowout preventer made by Cameron failed to avert the catastrophe.

EIB to finance small and medium renewable energy projects in Italy

The “renewable” agreement was signed between the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena (BMPS Italy) and makes part of the European Investment Bank objectives for sustaining European economy, as well a component of the agreement signed two years ago between EIB and the Italian Banking Association and Confindustria.

BP will restart drilling in the Gulf of Mexico

BP asked U.S. regulators to give the company permission to resume drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, as early as July, less than 15 months after an accident that killed 11 workers and led to the release of more than 4.9 million barrels of oil from BP's well into the Gulf of Mexico.
