Daily: World crude oil prices plummet to two-year lows, slashing quarterly loss

Crude oil prices tumbled on both sides of Atlantic, touching the lowest level in more than two years on Tuesday, with WTI crude recording its largest daily drop since 2012, as a decline in gasoline prices and end-of-quarter selling reduced three months of losses. Brent crude for November delivery plummeted $2.53 to settle at $94.67 a barrel, posting a 16 percent loss for the quarter. U.S. crude decreased by $3.41 to close at $91.16 a barrel, its biggest one-day loss since November 2012.

Turkey raises energy prices, driving 2014 inflation predictions above 9%
