Finland offers financial backing to three small LNG terminals

Daily: British prompt natural gas prices boost on undersupplied system

Crude oil prices dropped on Thursday, dragged down by plentiful supply, worries about demand growth and a stronger U.S. dollar. Brent eased $1.27 to settle at $97.70 a barrel, with prices falling around 15 percent from a nine-month peak of $115.71 reached in June. U.S. crude slipped $1.35 to close at $93.07 a barrel a day following a decline due to government data that showed U.S. crude inventories increased 3.7 million barrels last week.

Gazprom declares to be unable to satisfy increasing gas demand from Europe for the moment

Russia's Gazprom declared on Wednesday it is unable to satisfy increasing gas demand from Europe while it creates stockpiles prior to winter, weakening the ability of Europe to supply Ukraine with gas. Slovakia, Poland, Romania and Austria have all registered insignificant declines in shipments recently from Russia, which is involved in a dispute with the European Union over the crisis in Ukraine.
