Oil prices rose on Wednesday following EIA’s report on a decline in crude stocks. Gains, however, were limited by increased gasoline inventories in the US. Hence, Brent oil edged 0.7% higher at $63.16 a barrel, while WTI crude gained 0.8% to close at $63.16 a barrel.

Daily (01.04.2021): Carbon EUAs rose by 1% on Wednesday amid a record number of market participants

Oil prices were bearish on Wednesday ahead of the next OPEC+ summit. Meanwhile, the market seemed to ignore the EIA’s weekly report showing a decline in US crude reserves. As a result, Brent oil ended 1% down at $63.54 a barrel and WTI crude dropped by 2.3% to $59.16 a barrel.

Oil prices soared on Wednesday, lifted by concerns over the supply of black gold due to the blockage of the Suez Canal. Furthermore, a mixed sentiment over the EIA’s latest report on US crude stocks lent additional support. As a result, Brent oil gained 6% to $64.41 a barrel and WTI crude rose by 5.9% to $61.18 a barrel.
