Spain to double biomass production in 2012

According to a Spanish biomass association, the country could double its total biomass production this year compared with 2011, despite not achieving full capacity previous year. The country produced about 150,000 t of biomass previous year instead of total capacity of 651,000 t/year.

A 304 MW wind farm completed in US by Iberdrola

The Blue Creek wind farm of 304 MW has been completed by a Spanish utility Iberdrola. The wind farm, situated in the Van Wert and Paulding Counties of Ohio, US consists of 152 units of Gamesa G90 wind turbines with a capacity of 2 MW each.
