Denmark to treble power demand by 2035
Denmark’s annual power demand could treble to 127 TWh by 2035, fuelled by a surge of electrolysers using wind and solar power to create hydrogen and other green fuels, said the nation’s energy agency in a new study.

Germany commits to ‘blue hydrogen’ in updated national strategy
Germany’s updated hydrogen strategy, unveiled on Wednesday (26 July) places heavy emphasis on imports from Denmark and Norway while securing “blue hydrogen” production from fossil gas using CCS technology to mitigate the related emissions.

Denmark launches world’s first Power-to-X tender
The Danish Energy Agency (DEA) has invited bids to build and operate Power-to-X projects with a deadline for applications set to 1 September. Through the tender – the first of this kind in both Denmark and the world – the country has made available DKK 1.25 billion (approximately €167.7 million) in state support for the production of Power-to-X in the form of green hydrogen.
