Daily (10.12.2021): British gas prices fell on Thursday amid a rebound in Norwegian flows, mild weather, bearish carbon
Oil prices erased some of this week’s gains on Thursday as England, Denmark, and China imposed new restrictions to curb the spread of Omicron, ruining the demand recovery. Adding to the bearish sentiment, two Chinese real estate companies went through a rating downgrade, indicating China’s deteriorating economic growth. Hence, Brent crude fell by $1.40, or 1.9%, to settle at $74.42 a barrel. U.S. WTI crude declined by $1.42, or 2%, to end at $70.94 a barrel.

Nine EU states oppose energy market overhaul in response to high prices
Germany, Denmark and seven other EU countries have opposed overhauling the bloc's electricity market in response to high energy prices, a move they said could increase the cost of adding renewable energy to the system in the long run, ahead of a meeting of EU ministers on Thursday.

RWE wins tender to build Denmark's largest ever offshore wind farm
Germany's RWE on Wednesday won a tender to build what will be Denmark's largest wind farm, The Danish Energy Agency said, adding that this will be the world's first offshore wind farm constructed with actual payments to the state.

Denmark signs deals to facilitate wind power links to Germany and Belgium
Danish grid operator Energinet signed deals on Tuesday with Belgium's Elia and Germany's 50Hertz that move Denmark closer to building two sea links connecting its offshore wind turbines to Germany and Belgium to boost the flow of green energy in the region.
