Aquila completes acquisition of 400-MW Norwegian wind project
Hamburg-based investor Aquila Capital on Friday said it had completed the acquisition of the company that holds all the rights to the 400-MW Oyfjellet onshore wind project in Norway from Swedish wind project developer Eolus Vind AB.

BP, Shell among bidders in $800 million Brazilian oil auction

PGNiG gets nod to drill its second operated well in Norway
PGNiG’s subsidiary PGNiG Upstream Norway AS will drill the well 6507/5-9 A using the Deepsea Nordkapp semi-submersible drilling rig. The well is located in the production license 838, southeast of the Skarv field.

Equinor completes acquisition with Shell in the US Gulf of Mexico
The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management has approved Equinor and Shell’s transaction announced in May 2019, whereby Equinor exercised its preferential right to acquire 22.45% interest in the Caesar Tonga oil field from Shell Offshore Inc for a total consideration of $965 million in cash.

Daily (12.08.2019): European spot power prices plummeted by nearly 70% on Friday due to a surge in renewables output
Oil prices continued to climb on Friday, in response to weaker Euroilstock data, which showed a decrease in the total crude and product inventories of 16 European countries in July. Prices also drew support from OPEC supply cuts and Saudi Arabia’s commitment to bring the oil market back to balance. Hence, Brent crude rose by 2% to $58.53 a barrel. Concurrently, WTI futures surged by 3.7% to $54.50 a barrel, on lower production growth forecasts after U.S. drillers slashed the active oil rig count for a sixth straight week.
