Daily: French spot power climbs on colder temperatures forecasts

Brent crude futures increased on Friday on North Sea and Nigerian production difficulties, on strong U.S. refined products that were elevated by Hurricane Sandy's threat to U.S. East Coast refining and supportive U.S. economic data. Brent December crude climbed by $1.06,or 0.98 percent, to settle at $109.55 a barrel, having traded from $107.40 to $109.65, dropping 59 cents, or 0.5 percent for the week.
