Crude oil prices fell sharply on Monday to hit their lowest levels in two weeks amid ongoing negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, as well as pandemic-linked travel ban in China. Hence, Brent crude dropped by 5% to settle at $106.90 a barrel. U.S. WTI crude shed by 5.8% to close at $103.01 a barrel.

Thus, Brent crude declined by 2.3% to settle at $89.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, the American WTI crude price steadied at $88.20 a barrel.
