Daily (15.03.2022): British gas prices dropped sharply on Monday amid peace talks, healthy supply

Crude oil prices fell sharply on Monday to hit their lowest levels in two weeks amid ongoing negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, as well as pandemic-linked travel ban in China. Hence, Brent crude dropped by 5% to settle at $106.90 a barrel. U.S. WTI crude shed by 5.8% to close at $103.01 a barrel.

EU rolls out plan to slash Russian gas imports by two thirds before year end

Daily (02.02.2022): UK gas prices declined on Tuesday following a rise in natural gas supplies to Europe

Crude oil prices were steady to bearish on Tuesday, as the market remained cautious ahead of the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (Opec) and its Opec+ partners meeting, as well as the release of US inventories. Thus, Brent crude declined by 2.3% to settle at $89.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, the American WTI crude price steadied at $88.20 a barrel.

Britain to give EDF’s Sizewell C nuclear project $135 mln support

Britain will give 100 million pounds ($135 million) of support to France’s EDF to help it build the Sizewell C nuclear plant in Suffolk, England and encourage new investors in the project, the government said on Thursday.
