French oil group, Total, said it will approve plans to proceed with the Ikike project in Nigeria in the coming months. The firm also plans to expand its liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in the country, CEO Patrick Pouyanne said yesterday.

NOVATEK discovers Nyakhartinskoye field
NOVATEK announced that its wholly owned subsidiary NOVATEK-Yurkharovneftegas, upon testing of the exploration well PO-1 achieved commercial flows of natural gas from the Lower Cretaceous sediments at the Nyakhartinskiy license area with a gas condensate mixture well flow rate of more than 300 thousand m3 per day.

Gazprom to start natural gas supplies via Nord Stream 2 in 2020: CEO
