Total and E.ON to abandon a pipeline to convey Azeri gas to Italy

France's Total and Germany's E.ON intend to exit the Trans Adriatic Gas Pipeline (TAP) to convey Azeri gas to Italy, since decreasing Italian demand puts energy projects into doubt, according to Vagif Aliyev, SOCAR's investment department manager at Azeri SOCAR.

Daily: UK gas reaches new lows on Russia, Ukraine temporary gas deal

Brent and U.S. crude oil settled down in a nervous trading on Monday, dragged down by a stronger dollar and recently released data showing that OPEC’s oil output increased to a three-month high. Brent crude for July delivery declined 58 cents to close at $108.83 a barrel, after striking $109.87 and further retreating below Brent's 200-day moving average at $109.07. WTI crude for July delivery traded 24 cents down to close at $102.47 a barrel, after hitting an intraday high at $103.35.

Spain: Iberdrola signed LNG contract estimated at $5.6 bln

Spanish power firm Iberdrola declared on Friday it had signed with Cheniere Energy Inc a liquefied natural gas (LNG) sale and acquisition deal estimated at $5.6 billion for a period of 20 years.
