Daily (21.03.2022): European carbon prices snapped eight straight sessions of gains on Friday amid profit-taking
Crude oil prices increased on Friday amid expectations that Russian oil production will decline sharply in the coming weeks following Western sanctions on technology transfers and financing options for Russian oil companies. Hence, Brent crude settled 1.2% higher at $107.93 a barrel. U.S. WTI crude rose by 1.7% to end at $104.70 a barrel.

Danish political agreement reached on up to 6 GW electrolysis target
A broad political agreement has been reached in Denmark to spur Power-to-X technologies, including a DKK-1.25-billion (USD 184m/EUR 168m) tender for hydrogen production, the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities said on Tuesday.

Dutch limit gas production at Groningen despite energy crisis

EU unveils €300 million plan to fund hydrogen research
The EU’s Clean Hydrogen Partnership, a public-private undertaking, has launched its first call for proposals on 41 research topics related to hydrogen. Much of the funding will go towards hydrogen production and storage.

Daily (10.03.2022): Brent crude slumped by 13% on Wednesday as UAE calls for production boost
Oil prices saw their biggest one-day plunge in over three months on Wednesday following comments from the Ukrainian government that they would be willing to compromise in order to end the ongoing war. In addition, there were reports that the UAE would call on OPEC+ to increase output more aggressively. Hence, Brent crude plummeted by 13% to settle at $111.14 a barrel. U.S. WTI crude WTI crude oil tumbled by 12% to settle at $108.7 per barrel.
