Germany hits a new solar power record in first half 2012

German solar energy production reached a new world record by pumping 14.7 TWh of electricity into the power grid during the first half of 2012 which represents about 4,5% of the total power production during that period. The country is already a world-leader in solar power and hopes to be free from nuclear energy by 2022.

The Ile-de-France: a potential of 100 to 180 wind turbines

On June 22, 2012 it was inaugurated the "Gargouilles" wind farm, which has 16 wind turbines extending on Eure-et-Loir and Essonne. Three of them are located in Essonne which represents the first wind turbines in Ile-de-France.
