Protestors have shut Libya's gas export pipeline to Italy, its only purchaser, demanding more rights for the Amazigh. The protesters want their language guaranteed under Libya's planned new constitution and a bigger say in a committee to be elected to draft the constitution.

Brent crude oil dropped on Tuesday after reaching a fourth-month low in the previous session, while U.S crude oil futures closed at their lowest level in five months, dragged down by forecasts for increasing supplies and persisting weak demand as Gulf Coast refineries were expected to remain out of service at least by the end of this week.

Poland is one of the fastest-growing economies in the European Union and the power that drives it comes from the dirtiest of fossil fuels- coal. But, according to a new study made by researchers in Germany and Poland, renewable energy groups and environmental group Greenpeace, Poland could reduce by almost 50% its demand for coal by 2030 shifting to wind, solar, hydro, biomass and geothermal energies.
