BP and its partner Kosmos Energy have recently made an important discovery of a gas reservoir offshore Senegal, during drilling the Yakaar-1 exploration well. Yakaar-1 well is situated in the Cayar Offshore Profond block, approximately 95kms northwest of Dakar.
