Daily: Brent, U.S. crude prices rally to two-week highs on potential stockpiles draw

Brent crude rallied on Tuesday on strong U.S. crude and gasoline markets which offset the expectations of a potential rebound in Libyan oil output by 500,000 barrels per day. U.S. crude oil rose jumped over $1 a barrel to hit two-week highs on Tuesday as stocks of U.S. crude oil at Cushing dropped to their lowest levels since 2008 in the week to May 2.

Daily: British gas drops to a nine-month on higher temperatures forecasts

Brent crude oil increased for a fourth consecutive session on Friday, posting its first weekly gain since February on optimistic U.S. economic data and worries that eventual Western sanctions on Russia’s energy sector could trigger output disruption in the world. Brent climbed 24 cents to end at $108.07 a barrel. U.S. crude increased by 39 cents a barrel to close at $101.67, after rebounding over $1 in each of the past two sessions.
