Japanese giant traders target Russia’s Yamal LNG Project
The Japanese firms, Mitsui and Mitsubishi want to join in the liquefied gas field project on Russia's Yamal Peninsula on the Arctic Ocean. The Yamal Peninsula is situated in the middle of the Russian coast on the Arctic Ocean, a convenient location for exporting liquefied natural gas both to Europe and the Far East.

New Joint Venture between Novatec and Gazprom to develop Yamal gas and oil field
Novatec formed a Joint Venture with the Russian energy state company Gazprom to develop the Yamal oil and gas field. Each company holds 50% in the venture.
