Nabucco’s future decided by Azeri gas deliveries.

The chief executive of Austrian OMW, Wolfgang Ruttenstorfer reported to the Austrian newspaper, Kurier that the Nabucco gas pipeline project will be implemented only if the project partners will be able to secure big gas deliveries from Azerbaijan in the next months.

EU considers fusion between Nabucco and ITGI gas pipeline projects

EU officials are interested in a fusion between Nabucco, a Turkey-Austria pipeline, and ITGI (Interconnector Turkey-Greece-Italy), two strategic gas projects in order to carry gas from Azerbaijan to Europe and to reduce the Russian dependence on gas supplies.

SSE acquires gas assets from Hess

Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) agreed to perform an acquisition of natural gas production assets in the North Sea from Hess Corporation’s European unit. The cost of the transaction is £278 million and will include 18% stakes hold by Hess Corporation in a gas pipeline operated by BP.
