The Yamal Peninsula is situated in the middle of the Russian coast on the Arctic Ocean, a convenient location for exporting liquefied natural gas both to Europe and the Far East.

Poweo will decide on Antifer LNG terminal future.

According to the declarations made by Poweo, the French leading operator of power and gas, the board should decide if it will continue the implementation of its Antifer LNG terminal project in the northern France, at Le Havre. The Antifer LNG project involves the construction of a terminal of a 9 billion cubic meter per year.

Shell and Gazprom to build third LNG plant in Sakhalin

The governor of the Sakhalin region, Alexander Khoroshavin declared that Gazprom and Royal Dutch Shell Plc plan to expand their Sakhalin-2 venture by 2015. The new project, called Sakhalin-3 consists in building a third plant to produce liquefied natural gas by these two gas companies.
