Germany on Monday said it plans to urgently implement a 96 billion euro ($93 billion) plan to ease pressure on consumers from surging gas prices as it was warned that the supply situation heading into winter remained tense even with full reserves.

Daily (10.10.2022): Crude oil prices reached a five-week high on Friday

Crude oil prices rose to a five-week high on Friday after OPEC+ announced supply curbs, easing somehow the fears about an economic slowdown.  As such, Brent crude settled 3.7% higher at $97.92 a barrel, while WTI rose by 4.7% to $92.64.

Oil prices had a bullish evolution for a second day in a row, after Opec+ decided to limit production in November. Consequently, Brent crude increased by 1.1% to $94.42 a barrel, and WTI oil rose by 0.7% to $88.45 a barrel.

Daily (03.10.2022): EUAs posted their smallest weekly movement in three months on Friday

The chance that OPEC+ will decide to cut supply of crude oil when it meets on October 5 contributed to a weekly rise in oil prices. Nevertheless, Brent crude fell by 0.6% to $87.96 a barrel on Friday, while WTI crude traded 2.1% lower to close at $79.49, on continued worries about global economic recession and low demand.

Daily (29.09.2022): Oil prices soared amid supply concerns due to Hurricane Ian in the US

Oil prices increased on Wednesday, amid concerns about supply due to expected interruptions in the US Gulf of Mexico production as Hurricane Ian nears Florida. Consequently, Brent crude soared by 3.5% to $89.32 a barrel, and WTI oil raised by 4.6% to $82.15 a barrel.
