Largest Indian PV plant to get 48 million dollars loan

The largest Indian solar PV power plant, with a total capacity of 40 MW, received a long-term loan from the Asian Development Bank worth 48 million dollars. The Dahanu solar power plant will be built in the western state of Rajasthan, and it is planned to be completed by the second quarter of 2012.

UK renewable sector sees crash in investments

The development of new renewable capacity fell significantly this year following a “dash gas” policy of the big six British energy suppliers that could damage UK’s climate change targets and keep households bills up.
