Daily (10.12.2019): German spot electricity price soars 61% on Monday on lower wind output
Crude oil prices lost ground on Monday as exports from China shrank for a fourth straight month, escalating concerns about U.S.-China trade war over the global economy. Brent crude eased 14 cents, or 0.2%, to settle at $64.25 per barrel, after a gain of about 3% last week on news that OPEC+ would deepen output cuts. WTI crude oil lost 18 cents, or 0.3% to close at $59.02 a barrel on NYMEX.

Spain will hit 68% renewable power in 2030, but needs more flexibility - BNEF
Spain will be able to meet 68% of its electricity demand with renewable energy by 2030 and 88% in 2050, according to a report co-authored by Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF) and Spanish renewables and infrastructure group Acciona SA (BME:ANA).

Ireland to open 1st renewables auction in early 2020
The Irish government on Monday gave the green light to the country’s first auction under its new Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS) that is seen to pave the way towards a 70% renewables share by 2030.
