Oil prices edged lower on Friday, as increased concerns over China’s denial to admit the sanctions against Iranian crude supported the fears over falling demand on U.S supplies. Consequently, Brent crude slipped by 0.3% to $73.21 a barrel. WTI crude dropped by 0.7% to $68.49 a barrel.

Iberdrola gets EU loan for 1.2 GW hydropower in Portugal

The European Investment Bank will provide a EUR 650m loan to Spanish utility Iberdrola to support a three-dam hydropower project in Portugal, totalling 1,158 MW in capacity that will be operational in 2023, according to a statement on Monday.

Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline carried nearly 3B barrels of oil to global markets over 12 years

Carrying Azerbaijan's oil extracted from the Caspian Sea to the international markets, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) crude oil pipeline, which was dubbed as the energy project of the century at the time, has transferred nearly 3 billion barrels of crude oil from its offshore terminal in Ceyhan since 2006.
