Oil prices moved sideways on Thursday. Hence, Brent crude ended rather stable to bearish at $83.62 a barrel, as a higher-than-expected increase in US crude inventories put pressure on prices. WTI crude retreated by about 0.4% to end at $78.26 a barrel.

Oil prices posted mixed evolution on Wednesday, driven by ongoing geopolitical tensions and a 4.2-million-barrel build in US crude inventories. As a result, Brent crude stabilised at $83.68 a barrel, and WTI crude retreated by 0.4% to settle at $78.54 a barrel.

Daily (28.02.2024): Oil prices extended gains on Tuesday amid rising tensions in the Middle East
On Tuesday, oil prices saw a notable rise amid rising tensions in the Middle East and tightening supplies. The suspension of some Russian gasoline exports also lent support to prices. Consequently, Brent crude oil price increased by 1.4% to $83.65 a barrel, while WTI Crude gained 2% to settle at $78.87 a barrel.

Daily (27.02.2024): Gas prices rebounded sharply on Monday amid a technical correction, despite comfortable outlook
Oil prices rose on Monday, buoyed by high tensions in the Middle East and firm refined product prices. As a result, Brent crude settled at $82.53 a barrel, and WTI crude reached $77.58 a barrel, both contracts dropping by more than 1% day-on-day.
