Gazprom boosts gas export outlook to Europe on higher export volumes

The Russian energy giant, Gazprom has further raised its forecast on 2011 revenues from gas exports to Europe, according to which its expected profit from gas exports will represent $60 billion compared with almost $44 billion in 2010, taking into consideration the higher export volumes, the jump of prices and recovered demand, the Gazprom Deputy CEO Alexander Medvedev said on Monday.

Lithuania and a U.S. Company to strengthen shale gas cooperation

The Ministry of Energy announced on June, 14 in a press release that it led negotiations with an US company concerning the extraction of natural gas from its shale rock layers and starting production of shale gas in Lithuania. But the official refused to reveal the name of the US company, due to a confidentiality request by the US company representatives.

Eni sells a huge stake in Trans-Austria Gas pipeline

The Italian energy group Eni has signed an agreement with Cassa Depositi e Prestiti Spa (CDP) for the sale of 89% stake in the Trans-Austria Gas pipeline for 483 million euros ($700 million) plus reimbursement of a shareholder loan granted by Eni to the company equal to 192 million euro.
