Bulgaria signs long-term gas deal with Turkey
Bulgaria's state gas company Bulgargaz on Tuesday signed a long-term deal with Turkish state gas firm Botas, giving it access to neighbouring Turkey's gas network and liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals to help bring in supplies.

Germany Welcomes First LNG Carrier At New Wilhelmshaven Terminal
Germany welcomed on Tuesday the first tanker carrying liquefied natural gas (LNG) at the newly opened LNG import terminal at Wilhelmshaven, with the cargo arriving from the Calcasieu Pass export facility in the United States.

Coal Demand To Remain Robust In 2023
Despite bold climate pledges from a plethora of major world powers, it seems that many are unable to break their addiction to coal, as consumption is set to hit an all-time high (once again). Several countries have launched climate strategies that include the phasing out of coal production and use over the coming decades, however with gas shortages and a long road to getting enough renewable energy operations running to meet global demand, many continue to rely on coal for power and industry. Daily (30.12.2022): British gas prices increased on Thursday amid lower Norwegian exports
Crude oil prices continued to decline on Thursday, weighed by concerns that China’s demand will remain sluggish as the world’s biggest crude importer struggles with soaring Covid infections at a time of easing coronavirus restrictions. Hence, Brent crude fell by 1.2%, to settle at $82.26 a barrel. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude settled at $78.40 per barrel, down by 0.7%.
