Dutch minister presents report on new nuclear

The Netherlands is considering the expansion of nuclear power in its energy mix, according to a letter Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Policy Eric Wiebes submitted to the Dutch parliament last week, together with a report by consultants Enco. The cabinet will now prepare a motion requesting that the country holds a market consultation to assess commercial interest in nuclear new build.

Daily (29.09.2020): British front-month gas prices rallied close to their highest levels this year on colder weather outlook

Crude oil futures rallied to their highest levels since Sept.18 on Monday alongside stronger equities, spurred by expectations for a coronavirus relief-aid package in the United States and stronger demand growth in China. However, concerns about fuel demand due to rising coronavirus cases limited gains. Hence, Brent crude rose by 51 cents, or 1.2%, to end the session at $42.43 a barrel. Meanwhile, U.S. WTI crude gained 35 cents, or 0.9%, to settle at $40.60 a barrel.
