Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline delivers 3.3 bbl of oil

Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline delivered 3.3 billion barrels of Azeri oil since it became operational in 2006, from Ceyhan marine terminal in the Adana province of southern Turkey to the international oil markets, according to data from Turkey's petroleum pipeline corporation BOTAS.

Repsol sets up renewables unit

Spanish oil business Repsol has established a renewable energy subsidiary, Repsol Renovables and plans to have 4.5 GW of clean energy generation capacity in 2025. And the fossil fuel giant claims it already has a clean energy pipeline in place sufficient to hit 90% of that ambition.

Russia blocks coal supplies to Ukraine through Belarus

Chevron sets new greenhouse gas reduction goals

Chevron has established new goals to reduce net greenhouse gas (GHG) emission intensity from upstream oil and natural gas. Emission intensity is the emission rate of greenhouse gas per unit of energy produced. The company intends to lower upstream oil net GHG emission intensity by 5 - 10 percent and upstream natural gas net GHG emission intensity by 2 - 5 percent from 2016 to 2023. The timing is aligned with stocktake milestones set in the Paris Agreement on climate change.
