Daily (02.02.2023): British near-term gas prices gained ground for the third consecutive day on Wednesday, supported by cold weather.
Oil prices decreased on Wednesday reaching a 3-week low, amid data released from US officials indicating a larger-than-expected increase in the country’s commercial crude oil reserves, which hit a 20-month high. Consequently, Brent crude fell by almost 2% to $82.84 a barrel and WTI oil dipped by 3.1% to $76.41 a barrel.

Bulgaria begins work on Serbia gas link, sees operations by year-end
Bulgaria began construction on Wednesday of a long-delayed natural gas link with neighbouring Serbia that will allow flows of non-Russian gas to Belgrade and boost the security of supplies in southeastern Europe.

Greece cuts back energy bill subsidies citing fall in gas prices
Greece has reduced the subsidies extended to consumers grappling with high energy costs to 95 million euros ($102.9 million) in February from 840 million euros in January, the energy minister said on Tuesday, citing a fall in gas prices.

Daily (01.02.2023): British near-term gas prices turned bullish on Tuesday amid returning cold spell
Oil prices had a mixed trend on Tuesday amid the possibility of additional interest rate increase. Consequently, Brent crude slipped by 0.4% to 84.49 a barrel, while WTI oil rose by 1.2% to $78.87 a barrel amid higher U.S. demand, weaker dollar.
