Daily (12.03.2021): European power spot prices at their lowest level since December, driven by strong wind generation

Oil prices soared on Thursday, fuelled by upbeat forecasts for global economic growth published earlier in the week. Furthermore, a weaker dollar and a fall in U.S. gasoline inventories also lent support to the market. Brent crude gained 2.6 %, or $1.73 to settle at $69.63 a barrel. At the same time, the American WTI crude, rose by 2.5%, or $1.58 to end at $66.02 a barrel.
