Crude oil prices advanced on Wednesday, as the EIA weekly report showed another drop in US crude reserves. Hence, Brent oil gained 0.5% to settle at $75.19 a barrel, while WTI crude edged 0.3% up at $73.08 a barrel.

Helion passes 100 million degrees Celsius

Fusion energy developer Helion Energy said yesterday it has become the first private company to announce exceeding 100 million degrees Celsius in its sixth fusion generator prototype, Trenta. It also announced its Trenta prototype recently finished a 16-month testing campaign, completing almost 10,000 high-power pulses.

UK stands by offshore oil, gas licensing despite rising tensions over net-zero targets

The UK will still consider offering new offshore oil and gas licenses in the future, energy minister Anne-Marie Trevelyan said June 23, despite rising pressure on the country to ban new exploration in the wake of a landmark report on global carbon emissions by the International Energy Agency.

Norway Expands Arctic Oil Exploration
