From January through June of 2019, US net natural gas exports averaged 4.1 billion ft3/d, more than double the average net exports in 2018 (2.0 billion ft3/d), according to data in the US Energy Information Administration's (EIA) Natural Gas Monthly. The US became a net natural gas exporter (exported more than it imported) on an annual basis in 2017 for the first time in almost 60 years.

According to the National Statistical Committee of Belarus, in just one year Belarus turned into a major exporter of coal: compared to 2017, in 2018, total exports of hard coal increased from 164.9 thousand tons to 853.9 thousand tons, and those of anthracite from 0.3 to 107.3 thousand tons.

Oil contracts were bullish on Thursday, following the declaration of the minister of Saudi Arabia that major exporters would probably have to support crude markets. Brent crude rose by 1% to $76.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, WTI crude gained 0.8% to close at $67.33 a barrel.

Oil prices increased on Monday, backed by geopolitical tensions after the disappearance of a Saudi journalist, fueling supply worries from the world’s top crude exporter. The price increase was tempered nonetheless by long-term demand concerns. Therefore, Brent crude price rose by 0.4% to settle at $80.78 a barrel.
