Daily (05.05.2022): Oil prices rose following EU proposal to ban imports of Russian crude

Oil prices jumped, as European Union proposed a ban on imports of Russian crude within six months and on refined oil products from the country by year-end. Consequently, Brent crude surged by 4.9% to $110.14 a barrel, and WTI crude oil soared by 5.2% to $107.81 a barrel.

Daily (04.05.2022): Oil prices remained bearish on Tuesday as Europe mulls an Russian embargo

Oil prices extended losses on Tuesday amid concerns about China's capacity to keep its economy on track and maintain the substantial oil imports. Consequently, Brent crude fell by 2.4% to $104.97 a barrel, while WTI crude oil decreased by 2.6% to $102.41 a barrel.
