Russia to substitute decline in gas exports to Europe by ‘blue’ hydrogen
The European policy of carbon neutrality will inevitably lead to a decline in direct supplies of Russian natural gas and affect derived revenues by 2050, the department head of Gazprom Export, the export arm of Russia’s top gas producer Gazprom, Sergey Komlev said in an interview with Gazprom’s in-house magazine, adding that Russia can maintain its export positions on the European market using ‘blue hydrogen’ deliveries.

Gazprom’s Russian June offtake to fall from May
Russian state-controlled Gazprom's domestic gas production is on track to fall in June from the previous month, but the decline would be the second smallest between May and June since 2011, suggesting that the firm may be producing closer to its capacity than in previous years.

US waives sanctions against Nord Stream 2 developers
The US has waived sanctions against Russian natural gas giant Gazprom for its ownership of the nearly completed Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline to Germany, and against its CEO, according to a State Department report to the Congress on May 19.
