Nabucco’s future decided by Azeri gas deliveries.

The chief executive of Austrian OMW, Wolfgang Ruttenstorfer reported to the Austrian newspaper, Kurier that the Nabucco gas pipeline project will be implemented only if the project partners will be able to secure big gas deliveries from Azerbaijan in the next months.

EU considers fusion between Nabucco and ITGI gas pipeline projects

EU officials are interested in a fusion between Nabucco, a Turkey-Austria pipeline, and ITGI (Interconnector Turkey-Greece-Italy), two strategic gas projects in order to carry gas from Azerbaijan to Europe and to reduce the Russian dependence on gas supplies.

Gazprom agreed to cut gas prices for some European customers

Russia's largest energy giant, Gazprom declared on Monday its intention to lower gas prices for some of its European customers. Decreased demand and lower prices on the spot market are the main reasons for the lowering prices for long-term supply contracts.
