Global PV market to reach 130 billion dollars by 2015
According to a new market research study “Global Photovoltaic Market &Insights into Chinese and Japanese Photovoltaic Markets (2010-2015)” released by MarketsandMarkets, the market for PV is likely to increase considerably, with an annual growth rate of 18.5 % from 2010 to 2015 expected to reach 130 billion dollars by 2015.

EIB to loan 235 million Euros for grid updates
European Investment Bank (EIB) has approved a loan worth 235 million Euros for the Irish network operator, Energy Supply Board (ESB) which constitutes half the investments required for the two-year program.

E.ON to develop pilot hydrogen plant for storing wind power
E.ON is mulling over developing a pilot plant that will convert power generated from wind energy into hydrogen which could be stored in the gas grid system. More than 5 million euros would be invested by the company for the development of this innovative technology.

Vestas request more than top 500 companies to invest in Wind

Spain to focus on renewables
Spain is a fast developing renewable energy country and it is expected to move towards by supporting even more expensive energy commodities. Three Spanish companies, Iberdrola, Gas Natural and Endesa registered heavy incomes benefiting from the renewable boost. The chairman of Iberdrola, Sanchez Galan said the company made wrong steps with the development of solar PV power, and will make efforts to avoid such “moving” relative to solar thermal power.
