Daily (22.02.2018): UK spot gas price surged by 4.4% on Wednesday due to colder weather and higher demand

Oil price slightly changed on Wednesday ahead of data expected to show increasing crude inventories in the United States and due to a stronger U.S dollar. Brent futures edged 0.3 percent higher to end at $65.42 a barrel. WTI crude fell by 0.2% to close at $61.68 a barrel.

Total will extract gas at Azerbaijani Absheron field in early 2020

Gas extraction on the first gas well of Azerbaijan's Absheron gas field in Caspian Sea will start at the beginning of 2020, as stated by development operator Total at a public hearing on Project’s environmental impact report in Baku on February 20.

Oil prices soared on Friday backed by a rebound in global equities market and a weaker dollar. Brent crude was up 0.8 percent, to end at $64.84 per barrel. WTI futures increased by 0.6% to $61.68 per barrel.
