Turkish Stream gas pipeline construction will start in 2018

According to Alexei Miller, chairman of Russian state-owned energy giant Gazprom, the construction work on the Turkish Stream project will start in 2018, in accordance with the latest intergovernmental agreement which has been signed on Monday.

Lithuania restarts fight for 1.4 billion euros compensation from Gazprom

Lithuania initiated a fresh try on Thursday to obtain 1.4 billion euros ($1.57 billion) in damages from Russia's Gazprom in a gas pricing row, requesting a court based in Sweden to upturn an earlier regulation that went against it.

Italy's Edison in talks with Russian Gazprom over ITGI Poseidon gas pipeline

Russia’s energy gyant Gazprom and Italy’s Edison have held talks over the organization of the southern route of Russian natural gas deliveries to Europe via the ITGI Poseidon gas pipeline route (Turkey-Greece-Italy interconnector pipeline project) related to the resumption of the Turkish Stream project.

Gazprom increased sales volumes to Europe by 49% in first quarter

Russian giant Gazprom boosted gas volume to Europe by 49 percent to 58.1bn m³, an increase of 19bn m³ on 39.1bn m³ in January-March 2015. Revenues from those sales rose only 22%, as the average price declined.
