In the EC’s latest state of the energy union report released on Wednesday, it said a total of 75bcm of gas had been “matched” between 2023 and 2024 on the so-called AggregateEU platform, which was introduced in 2022 as an emergency measure to ensure security of gas and LNG supply and rein in competition and price spikes.
