French Alstom to deliver 36 units of ECO 122 wind turbines in Brazil
The French manufacturer Alstom inked a deal on Monday with Brazilian electricity firm Tractebel Energia, a private power generator, to deliver 36 units of ECO 122 wind turbines to Trairi II project, a wind farm located in Ceara State, Northeast of Brazil.

Norway: wind farm to be built off Britain by Statoil and Statkraft
Norway's Statoil and Statkraft will construct the Dudgeon offshore wind farm off the coast of Norfolk in Britain, according to Statoil on Tuesday. It is estimated that the cost will be around 1.5 billion pounds ($2.57 billion).

Romania: cogeneration tax to be cut by approximately half as of July
Romania's energy regulator ANRE will reduce the tax for cogeneration, or combined heat and power, by approximately half, attaining 0.00996 lei per kilowatt from July, according to a statement on Monday.

Germany: renewable energy law passed by Bundestag
The lower house of Germany’s parliament, Bundestag, ratified on Friday a law to restructure the system of renewable energy subsidies, clarifying the first problem for a plan that could still be stopped by the European Union after a conflict over its legitimacy.
