Crude oil price extended gains on Monday as tensions erupted following Soleimani's killing on Friday, with Tehran and Washington exchanging strike threats. Brent crude for March delivery rose above $70 a barrel at one point, but settled only 0.5% higher at $68.91 a barrel.
